Join our Impact for Breakfast winter-gathering in the Engadin. An open conversation with Dr. Philipp Staudacher, expert for biodiversity-investing and -finance.

"The situation is easily explained, but the solution to it is not simple: Today's economic system, which aims at global growth, only works because we do not consider natural resources in our balance sheet." - Dr. Philipp Staudacher

Dr. Philipp Staudacher has decided to devote his time and energy to contribute to the mobilization of funds to develop nature-positive solutions and to making sure these funds are targeted towards scalable market-based solutions. His committment to this topic stems from his passion for nature and this planets' unique biodiversity, and his conviction that we need to realign the global economy to work with nature, instead of against it.

We are very honored to host Philipp at the InnHub PopUp in La Punt and learn more about his holistic vision and his experience. Gioia Deucher, CEO at InnHub La Punt AG will moderate the session. Join us for this interesting conversation; we will touch on topics such as:

  • biodiversity and finance - how to bring these two together and where the biggest challenges lie
  • how innovation can make a difference in the nature-positive space
  • opportunities for small and big investors
  • personal motivations and pieces of advice on where to start

Date & Time: Friday, January 26th, 9:00 - 11:00

Who should join: Anybody curious about the topic and interested in an open discussion, in particular also impact investors, social entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of family offices/trusts, fund managers, foundations, and service providers.

Note: The event is limited to 25 people and will be held in English.

Dr. Philipp Staudacher brings a wealth of experience into the discussion. After his doctorate on the negative effects of pesticides on tropical stream ecosystems and the related human health toll, he joined Switzerlands first digital sustainability bank radicant. In the investment team he assessed companies towards their impact as contributors to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and also joined UZH as a lecturer on biodiversity finance data & metrics. As of 2024, Philipp has switched to Innovate 4 Nature, assessing the impact of startups in the nature-positive space, and supporting them in getting investor ready.
