Economics of Mutuality: A Paradigm Shift for Business, Investments, and Society

Beyond ESG: Transforming the Economic System by Creating a Mutuality of Benefits Among All Stakeholders

The Economics of Mutuality (EoM) started as a groundbreaking management innovation  to deliver greater value to people and planet with superior business returns – a ‘win-win’ for all stakeholders.

Today, EoM calls for a new paradigm not only by leaders in business but also in investment and policy.

Business leaders today are coming under increasing pressure from employees, consumers, investors, and governments to embed sustainable and responsible ESG practices. This reflects the new horizon for value creation which is about profiting from creating solutions for people and planet, not profiting from creating problems.

Investors are trying to stay ahead of regulatory requirements and looking beyond ESG, not just to manage risks, but to create impact and value.

Finally, policy-makers are looking for new models of economic growth and inclusion that benefits the broader society, not just a few players.

For this month's IFB public session, IFB Seoul welcomes Jay Jakub, Kwang Kim, and Gavin Long to provide introduction on EoM and discuss its potential value to the South Korean economy.
