Can business play a pivotal role in addressing systemic national problems?

The role of business in societies with declining demographics

The Impact for Breakfast Seoul is proud to co-organize the Economics of Mutuality Forum at Hanyang University, the first of its kind in Asia. Economics of Mutuality (EOM) is a global movement to re-purpose the role of business and investment, started with Mars Corporation. The annual global EOM Forum has been held in partnershp with Oxford University's Said Business School since 2016.

Come join us in April 24-25 at the Asia regional forum on how new paradigms for mutual value creation in business and investing is rapidly changing the landscape of local communities around the world. The forum will showcase and discuss the evolution of the role business in society in Korea and around the world, including addressing declining demographics in Asia.

Day 1 (academic forum) will feature a presentation by Prof. Colin Mayer, former Dean of Said Business School at Oxford University.

Day 2 (practitioners forum) will include the participation of POSCO, CSES (a think-tank on social innovation affiliated SK Group), leading startups in social innovation, global family offices, leaders from the Economics of Mutuality Alliance (formerly a think-tank within Mars Corporation), and world class economists.

The event will also feature Chairman Moon Kook-Hyun, one of Korea's most respected purpose-driven business leaders; Congressman Cho Jung-hun, Economist Il Houng Lee (former IMF and Bank of Korea's Monetary Policy Board Member), private equity leader Gavin Long (Managing Partner of Mutual Value Investments), and author Jay Jakub (Executive Director of the EOM Foundation and co-author of the book, "Completing Capitalism").
