Catalyzing a sustainable future
Start-ups addressing pressing global challenges have great potential to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). “Tech for Impact” is no longer just a trend in Switzerland, it is a flourishing start-up ecosystem and home to top science and technology clusters. These impact-driven tech entrepreneurs bring forward solutions to create large-scale positive impact. Similar developments are reported from other ecosystems in the Nordics, Portugal, Germany, UK or Israel.
Notwithstanding the positive developments, achieving targeted positive impact is largely dependent on the presence and preponderance of viable business models. Meaningful investment demands a framework which allows for sound assessment that integrates commercial data with impact criteria.
Sarah Linder & Luca Christen from SEIF will present on:
- Insights on the growing ‘Tech for Impact’ Ecosystems
- Showcasing impact-driven tech start-ups from Europe
- Practical and conceptual experience of integrating impact with commercial criteria for start-up assessment
SEIF fosters impact-driven start-ups in Switzerland and Europe, giving them financial- and non-financial support to become investment-ready. Through their activities over the last 10 years, they have assessed and worked with a wider range of these. Join us to hear more.
