As many in our sector will have observed to date, microfinance in recent decades has had a fundamental impact in the fight against poverty, promoting the financial inclusion of the poorest of the world's population. Although much attention has been devoted to this issue by institutions, research centres, analysts and scholars, the opportunity of investment into microfinance still remains relatively untapped. To what extent is microfinance serving as an investment opportunity and an asset class unto itself for the private sector?  Mr. Vincenzo Trani will be joining us, and analysing the development of the microfinance  industry– with particular reference to the microcredit segment – as an asset class and global investment opportunity.
