47th Impact for Breakfast Geneva

Bridging philanthropy with impact investment to support innovation and multiply impact

We are delighted to invite you to an upcoming event hosted by Upaya Social Ventures, a unique organization (and Artha Impact partner) that is making waves in the nonprofit sector. This session promises to be incredibly informative and insightful, as Upaya has developed a unique approach to donor funding. After 11 years of working on and fine-tuning their model, recoverable grant donors are getting funds returned to them because the investments made with their capital have been returned capital to them. This is a significant milestone not just for Upaya, but for the entire nonprofit sector -- and the bridge this creates to a more sustainable for-profit world.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to learn about recoverable grants and how they provide much-needed risk capital to social enterprises and nonprofits whose models may be otherwise unpalatable to traditional financiers and local banks. Upaya will share their direct experience raising and disbursing their first and second pools of recoverable grants, and attendees will discover how a single grant can have a multiplier effect, making an impact more than once. We believe this event will be invaluable to anyone interested in using their capital to drive positive social impact, so we hope you'll be able to join us.
