The New York Chapter of Impact For Breakfast (IFB) is pleased to announce its first event of 2018: hosting Mukesh Sharma, Managing Director of Menterra Venture Partners.
Menterra is an early-stage venture capital fund based in Bangalore. In collaboration with Villgro, India's first and foremost social impact incubator, Menterra offers nearly two decades of experience in the still-growing impact investment space. Menterra is also long-time partners with Artha Ventures, whose Director Audrey Selian is co-founder of the IFB - and more importantly, a former New Yorker herself.
With a focus on healthcare, agriculture and education, Menterra's programs are in tight alignment with the UN SDGs, and their latest Impact Fund has gone global with funding from both India and the USA. Co-Founder and Managing Director Mukesh Sharma will be visiting New York to share Menterra's vision and connect with like-minded Social Capitalists here in the US, and IFB is happy to be one of the first stops on his tour.
As always, this IFB is an opportunity for the local impact investment community to meet in person to informally discuss issues related to the space, and while loosely structured does have an agenda: to help increase collaboration in the social capital sector. Food for such thought is provided in the form of bagels and coffee.
